New Posts Daily Prophet Main Office

The Main Office is located on South Side, next to Whizz Hard Books. At the entrance, if you look up far enough, you will see a large, white sign bearing the words 'The Daily Prophet' in black, calligraphy font. Mostly only employees are found inside, though occasionally a person is invited inside for an interview or to visit the Complaints Office.

New Posts Diagon Alley Streets

Welcome to the bustling streets of Diagon Alley! Shopkeepers can be seen busying themselves in their cozy, little shops, while eager children plaster their noses against the shop windows for a better view of the latest broomstick model, or the newest edition of Snitch Weekly. The streets are alive with throngs of wizards, witches, and even muggles, pointing excitedly up at each shop sign in hopes of a good bargain or two. About two years ago, Diagon Alley’s streets were nothing like they appear, today, but those dark times are nothing more than a memory, now. Enjoy the fresh air, the friendly atmosphere, and perhaps find a good deal on a few items!

New Posts Florean Fortescue's

Florean Fortescue’s Ice Cream Parlor has been delivering excellent ice cream and service for years, as was the dream of its late founder, Mr. Florean Fortescue himself. After his disappearance in 1996, the parlor had been closed down and boarded up. However, since the downfall of the Dark Lord and Death Eaters, the parlor has been reopened and is now under the management of Florean Fortescue’s former employees before his disappearance, who wish to honor his memory by making sure that the business will thrive for many more years to come. Whether you have a sweet tooth, or need a break from shopping, there is no better place to stop for a frozen treat.

New Posts Flourish and Blotts

As you step inside the bookstore, a rather elderly shop assistant hurries up to you and grabs the book list out of your hands. "Ah...so, these are all you need, eh? I know just where to find them..." He hurries off to find the books throughout the busy shop, while you take a moment to observe the staggering number of students in the store, browsing the spines of each hefty tome along the shelves. Flourish and Blotts sells books that are among the best quality in all of Diagon Alley! They may be more expensive, but the books are guaranteed to last a long time! Fancy a handbook on dragons, or charming cheese?

New Posts Gringotts Wizarding Bank

Gringotts Wizarding Bank is known as the most famous bank service to ever exist in all of wizarding Europe! This large, white marble building is staffed entirely by Goblins, so don’t even consider trying to pull of a heist it if you know what is good for you! The main floor of Gringotts Bank is filled with offices at every turn, but down below this level are the vaults, which hold the money and prized possessions of wizards and witches in the magical world. It is accessible only by a rickety cart that rides the winding tracks all the way to the bottom. It is rumored that the goblins keep dragons and sphinxes down below to guard the high security vaults.

New Posts Leaky Cauldron

This is a small, shabby-looking inn on Charing Cross Road, London, sandwiched between a big bookstore and a record store. The Leaky Cauldron may not actually be the most attractive inn at Diagon Alley, what with its dusty furniture and tables that could use a good wipe, but it does have an important purpose; it is the “bridge” between the two worlds (the magical, and non-magical). The pub was built by Daisy Dodderridge around the year 1500 to serve as a gateway between the muggle world and Diagon Alley.

New Posts Madam Malkin's Robes

Entering into the brightly lit clothing shop, you are almost bowled over by a short, plump woman dressed all in mauve who rushes over to inspect you. "Hmm...come into the back room, and I'll get your robe fittings," she informs you, dragging you along hastily like a sack of meat. You easily notice that Madam Malkin in a squat, smiling witch, who is rather fond of mauve-colored robes. She wastes no time with taking and filling her customers’ orders, as her shop tends to be among the busiest in Diagon Alley – especially toward the end of summer. At Madam Malkin's, you can always find an impressive variety of clothing for good prices and better quality, guaranteed!

New Posts Obscurus Books

Obscurus Books, a quaint, little store located at 18a Diagon Alley, is known to supply its customers with books that are, albeit, less popular than the prints sold at competing book shops such as Flourish and Blotts, but they are very useful, nonetheless! From learning to outsmart the dark arts to picking up a few pointers on how to lure the attention of that special someone, Obscurus Books will certainly not disappoint! To the right of the door is a rather dusty bookshelf by a window that is quite large for a shop so small, and on this bookshelf are paper-back tomes written by the not-so-popular authors of yesterday and today.

New Posts Ollivander's Wand Shop

As you step inside the dusty shop, you notice the fading gold letters over the door that read: "Ollivander's: Makers of Fine Wands since 382 BC." Thousands of boxes pile up nearly to the ceiling as you look all around you. The owner of this store has recently returned to Diagon Alley after his daring rescue last year, and will not recall the painful memories of the past for any amount of galleons in the world. He has aged significantly since his capture, and understandably, he has not recovered entirely from the traumatic ordeal; but he still moves around his old shop with vigor and life, and is ready to offer you the best service a wandmaker ever could.
