hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry is a prestigious magical school located in scotland, teaching magical arts to young witches and wizards. it sits on a high cliff that overlooks a great loch, unplottable by muggle eyes. hogwarts' motto is: "draco dormiens nunquam titillandus", meaning: "never tickle a sleeping dragon."
there are approximately one thousand students attending hogwarts at any given time. upon arriving at the school on 1 September, students are sorted into four houses: gryffindor, hufflepuff, ravenclaw, and slytherin, based on the qualities and aspirations of the student. houses are rewarded with points for good behavior, quidditch match victories, and so forth, while points are taken away for wrongdoing. at the end of each term, the house with the most points wins the house cup.

The Arithmancy professor at Hogwarts is very knowledgeable on the subject, and does not take the work lightly! Arithmancy is not a very simple subject, but so long as a student is determined to learn, and doesn't mind taking a few notes, anything is possible. This class is only suggested to those who wish to learn the techniques behind problem-solving divination with numbers; perhaps you will learn a thing or two about the exciting world of Arithmancy! Make sure you're on time; the professor may lock the classroom door at the start of the lesson!

Students are bound to make friends outside of their houses, at Hogwarts! The school celebrates this diversity by establishing the Universal Common Room, where students from all houses can congregate. It is perfect for spending time with all of your friends, and school club meetings to discuss events in a comfortable setting. With a grand crest of all four Hogwarts Houses resting against the wall, and soft cushions and a grand fireplace to keep the area bright and warm, it has become an instant favorite!

||Glanmore Peakes Corridor
Unlike the other passageways within the castle, Glanmore Peakes Corridor is one of the largest, with a high ceiling and a grand window pane toward the front of the chamber. There are several bookshelves containing books old and new, more so for leisurely reading than for school work. Arranged on either side are wooden benches and chairs that students use to study, or chat away with friends. Here, you can spend a break or two! The spacious surrounding is very welcoming.
The East Wing is a finely decorated hall, its towering walls adorned with an array of intricately designed windows and a heavy, wooden door along the passageway leading out to an outdoor walkway. There are two rows of long, wooden tables running parallel along the wing, with bookshelves on either sides, benches and chairs at its corners, and several suits of armor, polished to perfection standing boldly with their swords and shields. Never bored, these ones...never bored.
